The Athens Gate Hotel is found in
the old part of Athens, right across form the well known Temple
of Olympian Zeus and the Gate thet was built years ago by the
Athenians so they could welcome the Roman emperor Adrianos (Hadrian).
The hotel is very easy to get to and is close to many
fascinating sightseeing points of interest; just 500 meters from
the Acropolis, 100 meters from the New Acropolis Museum, The
Constitution (Syntagma) Square, and the shopping area of Athens.
The best part of the hotel is the fantastic roof view that looks
out all over the city of Athens.
Just to the right of the Hotel there is a fantastic sculpture
of Nikos Alexiou (who represented Greece in 2007 Venice
Biennale). He was chosen to promote the exceptional and
modern character of the city. The sculpture, measures 18,5 X 4,5
meters, by the name of “Peplo tis Amalias (Amalia's Veil). Shows
a woman's veil. |

while in the setting of a quiet calm atmosphere. There are
